I do know it’s kinda sorta dishonest, however I wished to share one other photograph (or two) of the latest Floret design workshop for this week’s Seasonal Flower Alliance put up. This dreamy tablescape was simply too lovely to restrict to only one week! The compotes that line the middle of the desk have been loaded with dahlias, lisianthus, scabiosa-flowered zinnias, autumn blooming clematis, fruiting branches and different seasonal goodies that the workshop members harvested from our farm. What a implausible option to shut out one other enjoyable three-day designing occasion.

I’ve been scrolling via the most recent batch of Seasonal Floral Alliance posts over on Instagram. With greater than 10,000 photographs now hashtagged, it’s a veritable feast for the flower-lover’s eyes! Every week I wish to scan the posts in search of patterns. It’s superb what number of seem completely organically. Typically the submissions are dominated by specific flowers, like dahlias. Different occasions it’s a specific colour, just like the berry tones just a few weeks again or photograph bombs by furry (and feathery) flower buddies. This previous week, some completely different themes popped out at me.

The primary was the phenomena of bouquets matching no matter you might be carrying (or vice versa). I typically see this at my workshops—members will make a bouquet with flowers that complement the colour of their shirt. Typically they do it deliberately, however extra occasions than not it’s an uncanny coincidence. Both means, it makes for some fairly flower photographs.

The opposite sample or theme that I seen this previous week have been the “deadheaded hearts” (may this be the rise of one other hashtag?) which, when put collectively, make a reasonably little collage.

I’ve toyed round with the concept of suggesting a flower theme or design problem so as to add as a further layer of the Seasonal Flower Alliance submission. What do you suppose? I’ll mull over some concepts this week, however welcome your options–be happy to place them within the feedback under. Till then, I’ll get pleasure from in search of the patterns that emerge naturally.

Thanks for enjoying alongside!
