We are trying to have more structure in the club. Hopefully this way the new students don’t feel too lost. The followings are available tasks that can be worked on by anyone. Please feel free to make suggestions or ask questions!
IMAV 2012
Identify what UWMAV has to achieve to successfully complete the competition
Co-axial RC Assembly and Test
Find the parts (located somewhere in the bay), assemble and fly with remote control
Ground Station Software
Learn to use Linux; Configure libraries such as OpenCV and Qt
Servo Test (Currently Raymond Zheng is involved in this)
Complete Arduino Motorshield (Currently Raymond Zheng is involved in this)
Platform Design and 3D Printing (Sean is involved in this)
Improve the currently existing design or just print it
Standard USB to Mini-USB conversion
Our image sensor interfaces with the onboard computer through USB. The connector types are different. So we have to swap the image sensor’s standard USB dongle to a mini-usb.
I guess we can have 3~4 people per task. Please let us know if you are
interested!
